Online Therapy

“If you always do what you’ve always done, you’ll always be where you’ve always been.”
– T. D. Jakes

The only thing you can count on is change.

Throughout the pandemic, a tectonic shift in the delivery of psychotherapy has taken place.

Society has slowed down, and many services once available only or predominantly in person have shifted to the digital world.

Generally, human beings resist change – change requires effort and involves the unknown. And the unknown? It could be good, but then again, maybe not.

Tell me, “Do you feel lucky?”

Fortunately for us, telehealth and teletherapy are examples of services that may even improve in the online setting. You may feel even more comfortable – and convenient – meeting with me from your own home.

No more lengthy, frustrating commutes. No more dressing up – wear your favorite sweats or even your PJs. No more anxiety and frustration of being seen going into an office or lingering in a waiting room.

Teletherapy opens up a broader range of therapist choices across the state and frees up precious time in your hectic schedule.

Lucky?!? It’s fantastic!

You can now enjoy your session on your lunch break – or any other time that works for you!

You can access your session from anywhere – all you need are dependable Wi-Fi; a private, distraction-free setting; and a desk/laptop, tablet, or smartphone.

You can have your therapy where you feel most at home – your home – or even from your office, a park, or your car – therapy comes to YOU! No more worries about finding a new location, going to a new office, seeing people you didn’t expect to see.

Nothing’s Perfect

While it’s a lifesaver for some, teletherapy isn’t for everyone.

Perhaps you miss out on engaging all your senses “in person” with your therapist. Maybe you live near your therapist’s office – so getting there may not be a burden.

Or you may also enjoy the process of leaving your usual surroundings to engage in the challenges of therapy in a physical setting as new to you as are your desired changes.

It’s true – the physical “crossing of the threshold” into a therapist’s office can serve as an outward marker of your desired inner changes. However, we can note and replicate this act of bringing yourself into a new physical setting to make changes in the online therapy world, as well.

Ready to give it a try?

Getting started is simple. We’ll chat about the best format for you at the outset. I offer online therapy to anyone in the state of Colorado.

At this time, because of the pandemic, I can offer only teletherapy; however, options may change as the safety of in-person therapy sessions improves.

Don’t let anything get in the way of getting the help you need.
